About Us

We’re Last Chance, Jack Scott and Ingrid Rosenback. We met in 2011 and formed Last Chance the following year. Ingrid is a classically trained violinist and Jack is a songwriter with roots in traditional folk music. We both sing, Jack plays guitar and 5-string banjo and Ingrid plays fiddle and harmonica. Our intelligent, handcrafted songs appeal to audiences of diverse ages and musical tastes. All our songs are original and all our shows are fun. 

We appear as Last Chance throughout Greater Philadelphia at festivals, coffee houses, theaters, blues clubs, libraries, senior centers, bookstores and other venues. The band is fully insured. We’ve performed at the Philadelphia Folk Festival five times (2016, 2019, 2010, 2022 and 2024) and appeared at the Suzanne Roberts Theater, Hedgerow Theatre, Lansdowne Folk Club, Chaplin’s Spring City, Jamey's House of Music, Philadelphia's Hard Rock Cafe, Media’s Roots Ramble and WaR3house3 in Swarthmore. In 2024 we returned to the Delmarva Folk Festival, where in 2018 we were winners of their Folk Hero contest. We proudly participate in the WXPN Musicians on Call program.

Our latest album, “Heart of the Forest,” released in Summer 2024, is available for downloading and streaming on Bandcamp (click the button below on this page) as are our earlier releases, “Timeless Hours” (2021), “Summer Again,” (2020), "Claiming the Sky," (2018), "Endless Flight" (2016), and “We Came to Play” (2013). Our albums are also available on Amazon, Spotify, at our concerts and directly from us (at the Contact page on this website).  Many of our songs are regularly played on Philadelphia’s WXPN-FM and on college and community radio stations across the U.S, Canada and Europe.
